    Chin Woo Chinese New Year Performances

    On Sunday 13th February, Wellington’s waterfront will come alive with festivities to mark the Chinese Lunar “New” Year of the Rabbit.

    Among the variety of live entertainment, Chin Woo Wellington members will perform various kung fu demonstrations throughout the day. A stand will also be operating selling Chin Woo merchandise and offering information on local martial arts schools to the public.

    Details of Chin Woo’s activities are as Follows:

    NZ Wing Tsun Association Performing traditional Wing Tsun kuen kung fu and ‘Have a Go’ workshop outside at Frank Kitts Park.

    Chin Woo New Zealand Victorious in Shanghai

    Congratulations to Chin Woo New Zealand competitors representing New Zealand at the World Chin Woo Games in Shanghai.

    The following is the result from our athletes:

    5 X “Gold” medals
    7 x “Silver” medals
    5 x “Bronze” medals.
    2 x “4th placing”
    1 x “Fifth”, “Sixth” and “Seventh” placing.

    Also Jun Selwyn has received a 1st level award for his demonstration.

    Once again, congratulations to all competitors and we wish you a safe trip home.

    Results of the 7th Chin Woo New Zealand Annual Competition

    This year the tournament was held at the Murrays Bay Intermediate School, Sunrise Avenue, Northshore on Sunday 12/09/2010. With 29 categories and 130 items been contested in this event, were attended by many competitors and supporters.

    Chin Woo Annual Competition

    The Chin Woo Athletic Association of New Zealand will be holding its 7th Annual Wushu Competition in Auckland.

    The competition is open to the public and will be held on Sunday 12th September 2010 at Murrays Bay Intermediate School, North Shore.

    The event showcases some of New Zealand’s most talented Wushu Athletes and offers a great opportunity to see some great performances.
